An option for replacing missing teeth is a removable partial
denture. Removable partials are made with natural looking plastic
teeth and acrylic that is pink and resembles the gum tissue.
The partial fits into the empty space and metal clasps fit tightly
around the available teeth. This is a removable type of prosthesis
and is taken out at night for cleaning.
One option is to use crowns on either side to provide an accurate
fit for the partial denture. They correct the alignment of the upper
and lower jaws when brought together and have attachments that
eliminate the visible clasps.
